People say the Colorado River Basin’s
water challenges are unsolvable.

WE DON'T AGREE

We are building a catalytic community to
deploy innovative solutions with scale and speed.

WHO WE ARE

We are committed technologists, corporates, storytellers, academics and utilities, working together to solve the unsolvable problem of one of the world’s most overworked, overallocated rivers. How? By unshackling the promise of advanced technologies and building an AI-led watershed model to end water scarcity in the Colorado basin forever. If, like us, you don’t accept that it is too hard, too expensive, or too complex to provide reliable, abundant clean water to 40 million people, join our catalytic community.

to solve this challenge

CATALYTIC COMMUNITY

A community where you can learn, challenge, help and bring each other new projects. Collectively, we will drive more impact than individually.

PROJECT
FOCUSED

Demonstrating a bias for action, we are aligning solutions to projects within the Colorado River Basin to deliver quantifiable results and scale them basin-wide for maximum impact.

TRANSPARENT
REPORTING

We believe in transparency. Third party, validated results will help to demonstrate collective progress against water positive and ESG goals.

What our founders say...

To help replenish water sources and meet our 2030 water positive ambitions, we’re focused on driving innovation to scale water solutions and we are excited to expand our collaboration to include other key stakeholders and help reduce water losses across the Colorado River Basin.

Microsoft Eliza Roberts, Water Lead

I am delighted to create a catalytic community, uniting stakeholders across a key river basin. I’m looking forward to working with all key stakeholders where we can make a real impact with pace and scale, reducing non-revenue water and increasing water security and resilience within communities.

FIDO Tech Victoria Edwards, Co-Founder & CEO

Over-allocated and overstressed, the Colorado River Basin is threatened by the ongoing impacts of climate change. Under current and projected conditions, the Colorado River Basin is not able to meet the demands of its many users. Water Foundry is proud to play a role in building and implementing this catalytic community to deploy innovative solutions with scale and speed.

Water Foundry Will Sarni, CEO and Founder

To bring about long-term, positive change to at-risk watersheds, there needs to be a focus on scale, partnership, innovation and engagement from all stakeholders in each catchment. That’s what Water, United sets out to achieve and so we’re delighted at the opportunity to become part of this initiative.

PepsiCo David Grant, Senior Director, Global Climate & Water Solutions

Oldcastle Infrastructure is proud to be a key part of this Colorado River Basin project. Through this initiative and shared vision, we forge a game-changing alliance to increase water security and foster a sustainable future.

Why we need to
act NOW

Over-allocated and overstressed, the Colorado River Basin is threatened by the ongoing impacts of climate change. Under current and projected conditions, the Colorado River Basin is not able to meet the demands of its many users. Estimated to support $1.4 trillion in economic activity and 16 million jobs, the Colorado River provides water for more than 40 million people across seven Western states, including Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, Arizona, California and 30 tribes.
